Something had to change.

Every May the streets of Uptown New Orleans turn into a garbage dump. Hangers clog our storm drains and plastic bags full of stuff lay on the ground for weeks. The grotesque waste of useable goods destined for the landfill is sickening. It’s time to do something about it.

Working Together. Making Change.

Meg Allison

Volunteer and Landlord, Meg is passionate about reducing waste. Meg went to Loyola University New Orleans for her B.S. in Biology. Hurricane Katrina was her senior year and forever altered the way she saw the stuff we surround ourselves with. While in Peace Corps in Senegal she learned there is no “away” for where we throw things. She is passionate about making New Orleans a greener place to live for all. If she isn’t sorting recycling or bringing in her compost she is fostering dogs and cats for the Louisiana SPCA.

Partnering Organizations

We have amazing local organizations we are working with in the greater New Orleans community. Our work would not be possible without their support.
