In 2023 we ran a very impactful donation drive, saving over 17 bus loads of usable goods from the landfill. Over 300 students from Tulane and Loyola New Orleans donated goods instead of dumping them. We were able to funnel these donations directly to the community through direct giving and local organizations.

We were able to pick up donations from every student that requested it. Throughout May of 2023 we utilized our commercial bus to pick up donations from over 50 addresses Uptown. One location on Broadway we picked up donations 7 times!

More than 300 students donated items instead of trashing them. Over 2 school buses worth of clothing alone was donated instead of sent to the landfill. Local food pantries as well as a student food pantry were able to accept over 500lbs of food. We were thrilled by the level of enthusiasm students had for this work and we plan on making 2024 even more waste free!
